  5. NHL Salaries will be taken from the web site: www.capwages.com.
  1. Scoring is performed using the following 10 categories:
    • Offense + Defence - Goals, Assists, Plus/Minus, Blocks, Powerplay Points, Shots on Goal, Hits.
    • Goalies – Wins, Save Percentage, Shots Against.
  2. Scoring is Rotisserie based. 1st place in your category will award you amount of points as there are teams in the league. (Example: 13 teams in the league means you will receive 13 points for being in first, 2nd place receives 12 points, etc..)

Once you hit your cap for a position the players in that position are LOCKED and you will not be able to move them or drop them. This is to ensure you are not double-dipping your stats, first adding/dropping uncontrollably so that you do run out before the season ends and then look to place your players elsewhere or ready for team for next season - these actions should have been done BEFORE you ran out of games to play.

  1. We have a cap on maximum games played for each position:
    • Offense + Defence - 82 games per scoring slot.
      • Yahoo will stop scoring automatically when the game maximums are reached.
    • Goalies – 100 games combined between 2-4 goalie slots.
      • The Commish will move your goalies into the Reserved Bench spots when the game maximum is reached.
Ensure IR players are not in scoring slots unless forced to because of 3 or more IR players

All owners must ensure players that are injured and not in scoring slots on their roster.
Details of this policy are listed below:

  1. Owners must move their injured players to an IR slot.
  2. If an IR slot is not available, they must use a BN spot.
  3. If an IR slot or a BN slot is not available, they may keep their player in a scoring slot but will be asked to explain their reasoning of keeping so many IR players on their roster.

Reason for this rule: To maximize the integrity of scoring and prevent tanking for a higher draft pick.

Discipline: Audits will be performed regularly and the convener will be forced to make moves on the owner's behalf which may include reversing add/drops until compliancy is reached.

Goalie waviers are meant to enforce fair competition when picking up goalies. We are trying to discourage waiver wire rats that sit on Twitter waiting for news on a player and then pick up said player because they have 24-hour access to the internet. The following conditions exists for goalies:

  1. Goalies that recently got traded are not able to be picked up - they will be placed on waivers for 7-days or until there is at least 1 owner using a waiver claim to acquire the goalie - whichever is first
  2. Backups that are promoted to Number one because of trade or injury of the starter are not able to be picked up - they will be placed on waivers for 7-days or until there is at least 1 owner using a waiver claim to acquire the goalie - whichever is first
  3. Owner may pick up any goalie that is currently active and not outlined as above.

  1. The month of October you can make unlimited Adds.
  2. On November 17th, you will be limited to 10 Adds
  3. Every week from that point on we will add 2 additional Adds along with the following conditions:
    • A Trade Bonus move based on the number of trades you made to a maximum of 3 extra Adds (1 trade = 1 extra move, 2 trades = 2 extra moves, 3+ trades = 3 extra moves)
    • A 2nd Trade Bonus of 1 extra Adds based on 5+ trades
    • To qualify for the Trade Bonus Add you must have the player you traded for on your active roster or IR
    • Upon an approved trade - you are granted the Trade Bonus
  4. Extra Adds are granted at the Christmas break - basically getting everyone back to 10 Adds available.
  5. Extra Adds are granted at the All-Star break - basically getting everyone back to 10 Adds available.
  6. Adds are only allowed as long as the team is eligible for scoring. Once the games played are capped, Adds for the capped position will be disallowed.
  7. Players dropped from any Add will be placed on a 7-day waiver. Owners can make a claim at a cost of their waiver position OR wait out the waiver claim period to pick up the player via Free Agents.
  1. Owners may perform as many trades as they wish.
  2. All trades must be approved by the league commissioner if there are no concerns raised by the other owners.

  4. League trading deadline will be equivalent to the NHL trading deadline.
  5. Players can only trade prospect picks up to 3 years in advance (example: During the 2019-2020 season, you can only trade picks up to and including 2022.)
  1. Prospects can be called up to your roster and moved back down at any time.
  2. Prospects are divided into 2 groups - SKATERS (wingers/defence) AND GOALIES.
  3. Once a SKATER prospect has played 35 regular season games, he can no longer be protected and will be released from the protected list.
  4. Once a GOALIE prospect has played 21 regular season games, he can no longer be protected and will be released from the protected list.
  5. Once a SKATER prospect is into his second contract, can no longer be protected and will be released from the protected list.

  1. The Prospects Draft will be performed shortly after the NHL Entry Level Draft via the RKHL web site.
  2. Draft Order is determined by Lottery. Same method as used by the NHL.
  3. Owners may only choose from the list of prospects available for the current NHL Entry Level Draft.
  4. Any picks you have obtained from another team which has left the league will have the following rules apply: (a) The immediate draft after the team has left, you will obtain their current draft position for the picks you have obtained and (b) Any subsequent drafts, you will get their obtained pick at the end of the round in which you own the pick.
  5. If you have traded a pick away to another team which has left the league, that pick will be considered dead, and will be an empty spot in the draft.
  1. Any owner which does not have the minimum roster requirements, is over the salary cap maximum, or under the salary cap minimum, will be notified on the WhatsApp chat and have until 10:30PM that night to make sure they are compliant.
  2. Any owner which does not make the necessary corrections, will be penalized as follows:

    • 2nd violation: Commish manually changes roster. Owner's roster is locked for 1 week, no scoring will be allowed for that week, any allowed moves for that week is zeroed.
    • 3rd violation: Commish manually changes roster. Owner's roster is locked for the remainder of the season.. Owner is not allowed to obtain any winnings and league will determine if the owner will be allowed back for the next season.
